Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Zone In mobile application and related services provided by Zone In ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using Zone In, you agree to these Terms.
Accounts
You are responsible for the information you provide and for maintaining the security of your account. You agree not to share your account credentials with others.
Recording & third-party content policy
Zone In can help you capture, organize, and learn from material you provide (for example, recordings, notes, transcripts, documents, or links). You are responsible for ensuring your use of Zone In complies with all applicable laws and policies, and that you have all required permissions, rights, and consents.
Institutional policies
If you record, upload, or share material from a class, lecture, meeting, or workplace setting, you are responsible for following the rules of your school, university, employer, instructor, or organization. If you are unsure whether recording is allowed, do not record.
Copyright and intellectual property
Do not record, upload, or use copyrighted material unless you have permission from the rights holder or a lawful basis to do so. This includes (for example) textbooks, PDFs, slides, images, videos, audio, and other protected media.
Privacy and confidentiality
Do not record or share private or confidential conversations without the consent required by applicable law. This includes sensitive information, protected communications, or material subject to confidentiality obligations.
Your responsibility; indemnification
Zone In does not encourage unlawful recording or unauthorized uploading. You are solely responsible for any content you record, upload, or share and for how you use it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Zone In from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your content or your violation of these Terms, third-party rights, or applicable laws and policies.
Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the app or attempt to interfere with its operation.
- Do not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer or copy the app.
Content and feedback
You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us permission to process that content to provide features such as study generation, transcripts, and analytics. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction.
Third party services
Zone In may rely on third party services for hosting, analytics, or AI features. Use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
Subscriptions and purchases
Zone In may offer paid features, including auto-renewing subscriptions. Any pricing, billing period, and included features will be shown to you at the point of purchase. Purchases made in the iOS app are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Auto-renewing subscriptions
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device settings (Apple ID → Subscriptions).
Refund policy
Purchases made through the App Store are subject to Apple’s refund policies and processes. Zone In does not process App Store payments directly and cannot guarantee refunds for App Store purchases.
1) Eligibility
Refund eligibility is determined by Apple and may depend on factors such as the type of purchase, time since purchase, and the reason for the request. Where required by law, you may have additional rights.
2) No refunds for inactivity
Not using the app, using it less than expected, or forgetting to cancel a subscription is generally not a basis for a refund from Zone In. If you request a refund from Apple, Apple will evaluate the request under its own policies.
3) Refund request process
- Request a refund from Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com (sign in with your Apple ID).
- Select the purchase, choose “Request a refund” (or the closest option), and submit your reason.
- If you need help locating an order or receipt, contact Apple Support.
If you’d like help troubleshooting before requesting a refund, contact us at upperechelonsoftware@gmail.com and include your App Store receipt/order details (if available).
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. You may stop using the app at any time.
Disclaimers
Zone In is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Zone In after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
